Civil Coordinator / Site Engineer

These are full-time, site-based roles with strong rates and real potential for extension as project programmes develop.\n\nWHAT YOU'LL BE DOING\n\nSupervising day-to-day construction activities on solar PV, BESS or infrastructure sites\nOverseeing subcontractor gangs — civils groundworks, cable installation, tracker/racking erection, BESS container placement and civils interface works\nConducting daily briefings, permit-to-work checks, site safety observations and toolbox talks\nRecording works completed, materials delivered and used, and daily progress in site diary\nCoordinating with the Site Manager on programme delivery, resource planning and quality inspections\nEnsuring compliance with RAMS, method statements, ITPs and environmental management requirements\nCarrying out quality hold-point inspections and signing off works at defined milestones\nSupporting commissioning activities and ensuring snagging items are logged and resolved\nMaintaining a safe, orderly and productive working environment at all times\n\nWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR\n\nSite supervision experience on solar PV, BESS, civil infrastructure or large-scale electrical EPC projects - essential\nSSSTS (Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme) - essential\nCSCS Card at Supervisor level or above - essential\nFirst Aid at Work certification - desirable (some sites require this)\nExperience managing subcontract labour across multi-discipline sites\nGood written and verbal communication skills - daily site diary entries and briefing delivery required\nFull UK driving licence and site-based availability - essential\nMechanical QA experience on solar tracker and racking systems - strong advantage\nExperience with permit-to-work systems and formal safety documentation processes\n\nWHY THIS ROLE STAND OUT\n\nstrong and competitive market rate\nFast placement - site supervisors placed within 3–7 days of registration\nClear pathway to Site Manager level - we actively support progression\nCivil, electrical and mechanical profiles all welcomed - broad candidate acceptance\nExtensions typical on projects - BESS and large solar sites run 6–18 months\nWork with established, reputable EPC contractors on nationally significant projects\nA sector with genuine long-term security -130GWh of approved UK BESS projects in the pipeline
