HG Recruitment are recruiting a professional HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driver for a regular part-time position based in Portbury, Bristol, BS20.

This is an ideal opportunity for a driver looking to supplement their existing income with guaranteed weekly work. We are seeking a reliable and committed driver who can work every Monday and Friday on an ongoing basis.

Pay Rates

• Standard Rate: £17.41 per hour
• Overtime Rate: £22.63 per hour

The Role

HG Recruitment are seeking a professional and dependable HGV C+E Driver to support a busy transport operation with regular weekly trunking and store delivery work.

This role combines a Class 1 trunk run on Monday nights with a Class 2 store delivery on Fridays, offering a varied workload and consistent hours each week.

We are looking for a driver who is committed, flexible, and enjoys working independently while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.

Shift Details

Monday Class 1 (C+E) Night Trunk

• Start Time: 17:00
• Route: Portbury to Hemel Hempstead
• No loading or unloading required
• Straightforward trunking operation
• Typical Finish Time: Around 02:00

Friday Class 2 Store Delivery

• Start Time: 05:00
• Delivery Location: Portsmouth
• Palletised goods loaded by forklift at the depot
• Delivery unloaded at store using a pallet truck
• Typical Finish Time: Around 14:00

Duties

• Completing scheduled trunking and store deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Conducting daily vehicle checks and defect reporting.
• Ensuring compliance with Driver Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
• Maintaining accurate transport paperwork and delivery records.
• Delivering excellent customer service during store deliveries.
• Safely operating pallet trucks where required.
• Communicating effectively with the transport team.
• Representing HG Recruitment and our customer professionally at all times.

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• Ability to operate a pallet truck safely.
• Good understanding of Driver Hours and Working Time regulations.
• Reliable and committed to working every Monday and Friday.
• Professional and customer-focused approach.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
