Job Description

Location: Wolverhampton\nRate: £38-40 per hour (Umbrella PAYE)\nSalary Equivalent: £56-58k\nPremium Overtime available at Weekends\nShift Pattern: Double Days (This will possibly change at the end of 2026)\nContract: Temp-to-perm\n\nOverview\n\nA great opportunity to join a modern manufacturing environment supporting advanced automated production technologies. You'll be part of a skilled maintenance team responsible for ensuring high‑volume machinery and systems operate reliably and safely. Ongoing technical training is provided, including development on major PLC and robotics platforms.\n\nAs a Maintenance Technician, you will support state of the art automated equipment and advanced EV manufacturing technologies-ensuring the line runs safely, smoothly, and reliably.\n\nYour day-to-day responsibilities will include:\n* Working as part of a high-performing maintenance team to deliver safe, efficient production output\n* Ensuring maximum equipment uptime across automated and robotic systems\n* Maintaining, diagnosing, and improving complex manufacturing technologies\n* Conducting machinery audits and ensuring equipment meets electrical and safety standards\n* Performing Preventative Maintenance (PM) to an exceptional standard and documenting improvement opportunities\n* Supporting major breakdowns while independently managing smaller tasks and line monitoring\n* Contributing to automation and equipment improvement projects\n* Promoting and maintaining safe working practices across the production environment\n\nWhat You'll Need:\n* A relevant formal qualification: Indentured apprenticeship, or Level 3 BTEC (or equivalent) in mechanical/electrical maintenance or engineering\n* Ideally have previous experience maintaining machinery in an automotive, production, or automated environment\n* Strong skills in either Mechanical, Electrical, or Pneumatics maintenance\n* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider maintenance team\n\nAdditional Information\n\n* Right to work in the UK required\n* Training and upskilling opportunities available\n* Open to candidates from all industry backgrounds\n\nIf interested, please apply with your most up-to-date CV and someone from the team will be in touch
