Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (173lw) – Scotland, Wales, York or Peterborough - £45,000–£50,000 + Benefits\n\nKeep Critical Equipment Running. Solve Problems. Make an Impact.\n\nLeaving the military and wondering where your engineering skills fit?\n\nIf you've worked on vehicles, aircraft, weapons systems, marine systems, plant equipment, communications infrastructure or industrial assets - your experience could transfer directly into this role.\n\nDUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO REPRESENT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EX MILITARY.\n\nWe’re looking for Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers (on-site) to support busy manufacturing sites in Scotland, Wales, York OR Peterborough, where reliability, safety and fast fault-finding matter.\n\nThe Role\n\nYou’ll support site operations by maintaining and repairing production equipment and responding quickly when problems occur.\n\nYour responsibilities will include -\n\nResponding to breakdowns and diagnosing faults\n\nElectrical and mechanical maintenance activities\n\nPlanned preventative maintenance (PPM)\n\nSupporting installation and commissioning projects\n\nWorking with PLCs, drives, motors, sensors and control systems\n\nSupporting continuous improvement initiatives\n\nYou don't necessarily need timber manufacturing experience.\n\nWe're interested in engineers from -\n\nArmed Forces engineering backgrounds\n\nHeavy industry\n\nAutomotive\n\nAerospace\n\nMarine\n\nManufacturing\n\nUtilities\n\nIndustrial maintenance environments\n\nYou'll ideally have -\n\nEngineering apprenticeship, military trade training or equivalent\n\nStrong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills\n\nExperience with control systems, motors, hydraulics or pneumatics\n\nGood communication and teamwork skills\n\nStrong safety mindset\n\n18th Edition is useful but not essential.\n\nWhat You’ll Get\n\nPermanent position\n\nTraining and development opportunities\n\nStable long-term employment\n\nOpportunity to work within highly operational environments\n\nIf you enjoy fixing problems, keeping equipment operational and working in fast-paced environments, this could be the role for you.\n\nPlease send a copy of your CV with a note outlining why this would be the ideal opportunity for you to Liz Walsh at Ex-Mil Recruitment Ltd
