Planning Co-ordinator Location: Warrington (Hybrid Working)\n Contract: 12-month contract\n \nOverview \nWe are seeking an experienced Planning Co-ordinator to support a major, long-term programme within a highly regulated environment. This role will focus on managing and delivering planning permission activities, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and project timelines.\n You will act as the key point of contact for all planning-related matters, working closely with engineering, environmental, and project teams to coordinate submissions and drive approvals.\n \nKey Responsibilities\nAct as the primary point of contact for all statutory and internal planning matters on the project\nLead the preparation and submission of planning applications (incl. amendments, reserved matters, change of use, permitted development rights)\nDevelop key planning documentation, including:\nPlanning Policy & Context Strategies\nDesign & Access Statements\nPlanning Strategies and Risk Assessments\nPlanning Panel Reports\nCoordinate and review supporting documents such as:\nSite appraisals\nEnvironmental and habitat surveys\nConstruction Environmental Management Plans (CEMP)\nTransport and Waste Plans\nEnvironmental Impact Assessments (EIA) / Screening requests\nContaminated land assessments\nManage stakeholder engagement, including internal teams and planning authorities\nSupport negotiation and discharge of planning conditions and appeals where required\nIdentify risks and issues early and implement corrective actions\nEnsure planning deliverables meet quality, compliance, and programme requirements\nProvide regular progress updates and reportingRequirements\nDegree in Town Planning, Geography, Environmental Science, Engineering, or similar\nMembership of a relevant professional body (e.g.

RTPI) preferred\nProven experience in planning coordination or a related role (c.5+ years preferred)\nStrong understanding of UK planning legislation, policy, and procedures\nExperience working within highly regulated sectors (e.g. nuclear, infrastructure, energy, construction) is advantageous\nStrong communication, stakeholder management, and coordination skills\nAbility to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines effectivelyKey Information\nHybrid working – based out of Warrington\n12-month contract\nOpportunity to work on large-scale, complex infrastructure programmes\n\nThe NRL Group connect global companies with the right people to bring engineering projects to life.
