Retail Marketing Intern

Job Purpose and Summary Canon EMEA are looking for an enthusiastic student to join our EMEA Marketing team on a 12-month paid internship. As a Marketing Intern, you will be supporting a variety of projects and workstreams in the Retail team, part of the ITCG EMEA Marketing Department. The team is responsible for defining and enhancing the owned and retail partner experience for Canon customers. The successful student will be responsible for managing administrative and reporting tasks, working closely with other team members on product launch, external partner learning, promotions, and digital projects. Our team is based at our state-of-the-art EMEA HQ in Uxbridge (Hybrid working – on average 3 days per week in the office) which is easily reaching via the Elizabeth Line, with subsidized restaurant & Costa Coffee and free parking onsite. What we ask This internship will expose you to a variety of different activities including: Project Management: Attending any project briefings. To create project plans and timelines. Liaising with internal stakeholders and external agency partners. To track the progress of projects. Implementation of key deliverables.  Learning Content Coordination: Coordinate end-to-end learning asset production process, including internal content team & external agency briefing. Update project timelines & delivery schedule, manage tagging & upload of learning assets to Canon Advantage learning system. Monitor usage of learning assets & report back on content effectiveness. Meeting Management: Ensure meeting calendar is up to date. Set up online meetings and book meeting rooms. Track meeting acceptance and send out reminders to ensure maximum attendance. Competitor Analysis: Researching competitors and their online and instore marketing tactics to help develop a strategic plan for Canon’s retail marketing efforts. General Finance Support: Support the team with RFA creation/ PO submissions. Regularly update retail workplan and PO trackers. Retailer Online/Store Audits: Gather relevant actionable insights through online/ in-store audits and report back to the team on retailer behaviour. You will need The successful candidate will have: Good understanding of MS Office including PowerPoint and Excel Excellent attention to detail Positive, can-do attitude Organised and detail oriented Curiosity Self-motivated Ability to think strategically, generate new ideas and see them through completion.  Background: A 2nd year-undergraduate university student.  Evidence of passion and achievements in academic and/or non-academic activities Interest in Marketing and desire to drive sales through effective retail campaigns/ projects Strong analytical capability Excellent communication and social skills.
